What is the difference between the standard Pelican models and the GunCruzer™ weapon containers? The standard large case models, the APP-1750 & APP-1700 come with solid foam and no cutout provisions for any weapons. The medium and smaller sizes come with pre-scored Pick ‘n’ Pluck foam. The foam used in all these models is commercial grade open cell 1.6 PCF Polyurethane that will absorb water, oils, acids, etc. and more importantly it will require a lot of cutting on your part to be able to use it for the guns and accessories. They are not to be confused with the GunCruzer custom-engineered foam interiors systems; proven designs and tested in actual field conditions. The models SMC-1955-M16-D, SMC-1956-M16-S, SMC-1904-M4-S, SMC-1959-M249, SMC-1854-Beretta-M9, SMC-1805-P90, SMC-1855-Glock, SMC-1806-G36 and many others were designed for the Military and Law Enforcement agencies; and they are factory pre-cut with the exact fit of military standard issue weapons plus magazines and accessory compartments, thus saving the end user endless hours of cutting and gluing pieces together. |
